Chocolate Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) package semisweet baking chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 1/2 cups pecans, halved
  • 9 inches pie crusts

Recipe

  • 1 preheat the oven to 350.
  • 2 melt chocolate and butter in a large microwave bowl on high for 1-2 minutes or until butter is melted. stir until the chocolate is completely melted.
  • 3 brush the bottom of the pie crust with a small amount of the beaten egg. stir sugar, corn syrup, eggs and vanilla into the chocolate mixture until well blended.
  • 4 stir in nuts.
  • 5 pour into pie crust.
  • 6 bake 55 minutes.
  • 7 cool on a wire rack.
