Bbq Marmalade Chicken

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 1 cup orange marmalade
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 cup of your favourite barbecue sauce
  • 12 boneless skinless chicken breasts or 24 boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Recipe

  • 1 in a medium-size microwave-safe bowl, stir marmalade with soy sauce. microwave, uncovered, on high until softened, 1 minute.
  • 2 or melt in a saucepan, stirring often.
  • 3 stir in barbecue sauce.
  • 4 place chicken in crock pot. pour in sauce. stir to coat.
  • 5 cover and cook on high setting 4 hours or low 6 hours.
  • 6 to bake, preheat oven to 350f (180c). place chicken in a large, ovenproof casserole dish that will hold at least 16 cups (4 l). pour sauce over chicken. stir to evenly coat. set on a baking sheet to catch any drips if it bubbles over.
  • 7 bake, covered, in centre of preheated oven until chicken feels springy when pressed and sauce is bubbly, about 1 3/4 hours.
  • 8 to thicken sauce, remove cooked chicken to a large serving bowl.
  • 9 in a small bowl, stir cornstarch with water until dissolved.
  • 10 carefully ladle liquid from slow cooker or casserole into a medium-size saucepan.
  • 11 set over high heat. bring to a boil. stir in cornstarch mixture.
  • 12 reduce heat to medium. stir until sauce thickens, 2 minutes. pour over chicken.
  • 13 note: i prefer orange marmalade, ginger marmalade can be substituted. recipe yields approximately 3 cups of sauce.

Cheesy-potato Soup

Ingredients

  • 6 large potatoes, cut into bite size chunks
  • 8 ounces ham, chopped small
  • 0.5 (10 ounce) package frozen broccoli (optional)
  • 6 cups milk
  • 1/4 lb velveeta cheese, cut up (about 2 inch block)
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt

  • 1 to make soup:
  • 2 in a soup pot boil potatoes in enough water to cover until potatoes are just done.
  • 3 while potatoes are boiling steam broccoli(if u are using it)in the microwave according to package directions, then chop small.
  • 4 when potatoes are done drain off water and add milk, velveeta cheese, ham, broccoli(if using), and season to taste.
  • 5 bring to a boil.
  • 6 to make rivels:.
  • 7 while waiting on soup to boil, make rivels by beating eggs in a med. bowl and season with pinch salt. add flour and baking powder then mix with fork until lumpy dough forms. (there will be some flour that doesn't mix all in, don't worry about it.).
  • 8 when soup comes to a boil, dump in dough lumps, extra flour and all.
  • 9 boil another 10 minutes or so until rivels are no longer floury in the middle.

Chocolate Peppermint Tea

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces water
  • 1 peppermint tea bag
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup (i used hershey's)
  • 1 (1 g) packet splenda sugar substitute or 1 (1 g) packet sugar, to taste
  • 1 -2 tablespoon non-dairy coffee creamer or 1 -2 tablespoon cream
  • whipped cream, to top
  • chocolate syrup, to top
  • crushed ice (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 microwave water in a mug until hot. place tea bag in hot water and steep for a few minutes. discard tea bag.
  • 2 stir in chocolate syrup, splenda and creamer.
  • 3 pour over crushed ice in a tall glass if desired.
  • 4 top with whipped cream and drizzled chocolate syrup.

Campfire Lemon Meringue Mallow Bursts Cereal Squares

  • 3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 (8 ounce) bag campfire lemon meringue marshmallows
  • 5 cups crisp rice cereal or 5 cups corn flakes

  • 1 melt margarine or butter in large saucepan over low heat. add marshmallows and stir constantly until completely melted. remove from heat. add cereal and stir until well coated. using buttered spatula or waxed evenly into greased 13" x 9" pan. cut into square when cool.

  • 1 soften the butter by cooking in microwave for up to 1/2 minute until soft enough to mix it with the garlic powder. set aside.
  • 2 snip the ends of the peas, if needed. set aside. place carrots in microwave-safe bowl; cover and microwave on high for 5 minutes.
  • 3 stir in the sugar snap peas and the garlic butter. cover and microwave on high 3-4 minutes or until tender. stir and serve.

Cheezy Potatoes

  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 10 tortillas
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can campbell's cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can campbell's cream of mushroom soup
  • 3 cups cooked shredded chicken (about 3 to 4 chicken breasts)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 chopped onion (1/2 a cup)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • mild taco sauce
  • 7 1/2 ounces black beans (1/2 of 15 oz can)
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 1 * mix all ingredients (except tortillas and chicken) in a large bowl.
  • 2 * set aside about 1 cup of the mixture.

  • 1 line 2 baking sheets with waxed paper.

  • 3 microwave 1 min, stir until smooth and melted.

Chocolate Peppermint Pizzelle Sandwich Cookies

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
  • 3 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar or 1 cup splenda sugar substitute
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted, cooled to room temperature

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 egg whites, at room temperature
  • 2 cups light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, for dipping

  • 2 sift together both flours, the salt, and cinnamon into a bowl. set aside.
  • 3 in the bowl of a stand mixer, fitted with a paddle attachment, combine the butter, brown sugar, and honey. beat until fluffy. about 4 minutes.
  • 4 add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture in three additions, beating until just combined after each addition. wrap the dough tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before rolling, or for up to 2 days. (at this point you could also freeze for up to 2 months, and defrost before rolling and continuing onto the next step.).
  • 5 preheat oven to 350°f. line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • 9 in the bowl of a stand mixer, fitted with the whisk attachment, add egg whites, corn syrup, and salt.
  • 10 with your mixer on high speed, whisk for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture is thick and the volume has almost doubled.
  • 11 on low speed, add powdered sugar and mix until well blended. add vanilla extract just until well blended.
  • 12 use immediately or refrigerate in a covered container for up to two weeks.
  • 13 for the assembly:.
  • 14 on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, place half of the graham crackers bottom side up. pipe marshmallow fluff on the graham cracker (i just filled a piping bag, or you could use a large ziploc bag) and top with the remaining graham cracker. place in freezer for about 30 minutes to harden.
  • 15 using a double boiler, or microwave, melt the chocolate chips until just melted. let cool a little bit.
  • 16 with the cookies still in the freezer, take two or three out at a time and dip in chocolate. immediately place back in the freezer. continue until all bars are dipped. freeze until chocolate is hard.
  • 17 keep in airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.

Creamy Chicken Crescents

  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 cup shredded cooked chicken
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 2/3 cup condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted

  • 1 separate crescent dough into eight triangles.
  • 2 combine the chicken and 2 tablespoons cheese; place about 2 tablespoonfuls on the wide end of each triangle.

  • 1 onion, chopped (or to taste)

  • 2 add chopped onion-- cook until transparent.
  • 3 rinse carrots in colendar-- shake of some of the water-- leaving some on.

  • 7 cover and turn fire down.
  • 8 keep watching it and stir often for 1/2 an hour to 45 minutes recommend making day before and heating up day of dinner in microwave.

Blueberry Cream Cheese Stuffed Baked French Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf bread, no crusts
  • 1/2 loaf french bread
  • 6 cups fresh blueberries or 6 cups frozen blueberries, rinsed
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 7 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups half-and-half
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Recipe

  • 1 cut bread into cubes and place into the bottom of a greased 9x13 pan.
  • 2 sprinkle blueberries evenly over bread.
  • 3 microwave cream cheese in bowl for 2 minutes.
  • 4 stir carefully and add 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup sour cream, and 1 teaspoons vanilla.
  • 5 spread over blueberries.

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cups large marshmallows (about 40)
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 6 cups crisp rice cereal
  • 6 ounces candy coating, chopped
  • 4 drops green food coloring (optional)
  • green sprinkles

Recipe

  • 1 in a large saucepan, melt butter. add marshmallows; cook and stir over low heat until melted. remove from the heat; stir in extract and cereal; mix well. with buttered hands, press mixture into a greased foil-lined 13x9x2-inch pan. cool completely on a wire rack.
  • 2 turn onto a cutting board; remove foil. cut with a 3-in. shamrock cookie cutter; reshape shamrock stem if needed (save scraps for another use). in a microwave, melt candy coating.
  • 3 stir in food coloring if desired. spoon over cutouts and spread evenly. decorate with sprinkles. let stand until set.

Clinton Kelly's Chocolate-covered Caramel Pretzel Cheesecake

  • 2 cups pretzels (crushed)
  • 2/3 cup butter (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 10 ounces dark chocolate (chopped)
  • 3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 pinch salt

Recipe

  • 1 for the crust: preheat oven to 350 degrees f. grease the inside of a 9 inch spring form pan with butter. lay two large pieces of aluminum foil crosswise on your work surface. place the cake pan in the middle and crimp the aluminum around the pan.
  • 2 stir the crust ingredients together in a medium bowl. once fully incorporated press into the bottom and sides of the prepared spring form pan, creating an even layer.
  • 3 for the chocolate layer: melt the chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave. pour over the prepared pretzel crust. transfer the spring form pan to the refrigerate for 5 minutes or until chocolate has set.
  • 4 for the filling: whip together the cream cheese and sugar until fluffy. add the sour cream, eggs, egg yolk, vanilla and salt and stir together until incorporated. do not over mix to avoid excess air from being incorporated into the mixture which can cause your cheesecake to crack when baking. pour the filling over the prepared crust and chocolate layer.
  • 5 transfer the cake to a roasting pan and carefully fill the roasting pan with warm water until it comes 1/3 of the way up the sides of the spring form pan. bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until the center only jiggles slightly. remove and allow to cool on a wire rack for 20 minutes.
  • 6 for the caramel sauce: mix the sugar and water in a small sauce pot just to wet the sugar. place over medium-high heat and cook until the mixture turns a light golden brown or a candy thermometer reads 212 degrees f.
  • 7 remove the pan from the heat and add the butter, heavy cream, and salt. be careful the mixture may bubbly rapidly. stir the mixture until fully incorporated. allow to cool for 3 minutes before pouring over the cheesecake. place the entire cheesecake into the refrigerator and allow to cool completely, at least 2 hours or until ready to serve. use a warm knife to cut through the cake.

Broccoli Cheddar Dip

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 1 (10 ounce) package chopped broccoli
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 8 ounces french onion dip
  • 4 ounces chopped deli ham
  • 1 7/8 ounces dry vegetable soup mix
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon onion flakes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

  • 1 thaw broccoli, rinse with water, then put in microwavable dish and microwave for 2 minutes. drain again.
  • 2 add cream cheese and mix well.
  • 3 then add the remaining ingredients and stir until well blended. bake for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly. top with cheddar cheese and continue baking until the cheese is melted, about 5-10 minutes. serve with crackers.
  • 4 this can also be combined in a crockpot and cooked on high for a few hours.

Best French Croissant, French Toast

Ingredients

  • 4 large croissants
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 pint whipping cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • berries (optional)

  • 1 begin with cracking open the eggs into a medium size mixing bowl. take one package of the cream cheese and soften it in the microwave (about 40 seconds). add the cream cheese to the eggs and beat until smooth; this is your batter for the croissants.
  • 2 for the whipped cream, whip up the whipping cream until it peaks. add the sugar and beat again until well mixed. soften the other cream cheese in the microwave for 40 seconds and add to the whipped cream. beat it all together until smooth; this is your whipped topping.
  • 3 slice the croissants in half and dip each piece into the batter and put on a skillet until golden brown.
  • 4 place a dollup of the whipped cream on top of the finished croissant french toast and top with a few strawberries.

Chef Boyardee® Ravioli Lasagna

Ingredients

  • pam® original no-stick cooking spray
  • 1 cup frozen loose cut spinach leaves
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans chef boyardee® beef ravioli
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can hunt's® diced tomatoes, drained well
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried italian seasoning
  • 1 cup 1% low fat cottage cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded italian cheese blend

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375°f spray 8x8-inch glass baking dish with cooking spray. place spinach in microwave-safe bowl. cover with plastic wrap and microwave on high 2 minutes; squeeze spinach dry.
  • 2 combine ravioli, drained tomatoes and italian seasoning in medium microwave-safe bowl. cover with plastic wrap and microwave on high 3 to 4 minutes or until mixture is hot. combine cottage cheese, spinach and black pepper in small bowl.

  • 12 ounces quality dark chocolate (like ghirardelli)
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candy (i use starlite)

Recipe

  • 1 line a 9x12 pan with parchment paper.
  • 2 melt the dark chocolate (use the method you prefer, either double boiler, or microwave - cook 30 seconds in a heat-proof bowl, stir and repeat until you have a smooth consistency.
  • 3 pour the melted dark chocolate on the parchment paper, spread the chocolate out until it is about 1/3" thick. you can do this by hitting the pan on the countertop repeatedly, or maybe you could use a spatula to spread the chocolate.
  • 4 melt the chocolate, using the steps above. after the chocolate is smooth, pour it on top of the dark chocolate - trying to make the layers the same thickness. (it's best to do this step while the chocolate is still very soft -- i've had them separate when i broke them into pieces, i think the layers "stick" together better if the chocolate has not hardened).
  • 5 unwrap the starlite mints, or peppermints of your choice and put them into a heavy duty ziplock bag. using a hammer or meat tenderizer - crush the mints then, while the chocolate is still melted sprinkle on top.
  • 6 let the chocolates harden in the refrigerator for 2 hours, then break the candy into pieces. this needs to be stored in the refrgerator if you live in a warm/humid climate.

  • 4 cook mixed vegetables in microwave according to package directions and add to pot. i use pictsweet all natural steamables and place the unopened bag in the microwave for 6 or 7 minutes, then i cut open the bag and add vegetables to the pot.

  • 1 microwave peeled potatoes for 3 min to make cutting easier, and then cut potatoes into 1 inch chunks.

  • 1 sprinkle 1/4 cup almonds in a bundt pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
  • 2 cut cream cheese into 24 equal cubes.
  • 3 in a small bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. roll cream cheese cubes in sugar mixture and coat completely.
  • 4 wrap a roll around each cream cheese cube and completely enclose.
  • 5 dip each roll in sugar mixture until coated.
  • 6 place rolls in bundt pan alternately with 3/4 cup almonds. sprinkle any remaining sugar mixture over rolls.

  • 1 whisk all of the marinade ingredients together in a small bowl. place skirt steak in a zip-lock bag. pour the marinade over the steak and squeeze to distribute marinade; refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight, turning once or twice.

  • 1 dice up the spam and pineapple into pieces the size of your pinky nail.
  • 2 throw em into a sauce pan with the marinade and wine vinegar and keep an eye on it.
  • 3 toss it around until it browns. when it does - add the panko bread crumbs and the parmesan cheese and stir it up really good.
  • 4 meanwhile get another (big enough for 2 hot dog buns) pan and toss in the 1 tablespoon of butter and let it melt. take your 2 hot dog buns and nuke them for 20 seconds in the microwave. then, open it gently to not break it and put it with the inside down on the pan with the butter. let it sit on there and let it toast up. if you are going to make 8 of them it will take 4 tablespoons of butter.
  • 5 then put the cowabunga mixture into your toasted hot dog bun. bon appetite!

  • 6 -7 large granny smith apples
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2/3 cup shortening
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup ice water
  • 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine, to taste
  • 3 -4 tablespoons sugar, to taste

Recipe

  • 1 prepare the apples: peel, core, and slice apples thinly, and place in a large bowl.
  • 2 cover apples with sugars, flour, vanilla, and spices, and mix well with apples; set aside.
  • 3 at this point, preheat oven to 350°.
  • 4 prepare the dough: mix salt, flour, and shortening in mixer- then add ice cold water.
  • 5 remove dough, divide in half, and roll out one half using flour to keep from sticking- reserve the other half for top crust.
  • 6 line 9 inch pie pan with half dough; allow 1/4 inch extra dough to stick out- you'll pinch it with the top crust later.
  • 7 put apple mixture into crust-lined pan.
  • 8 roll out top crust and cover apples.
  • 9 finish the pie: gently pinch bottom and top crusts together, and flute edges of dough (make it pretty).
  • 10 poke several fork holes in top crust, and dot crust with butter and sprinkle with sugar.
  • 11 bake at 350° for 65-70 minutes.
  • 12 allow to cool 20 minutes before serving plain or with vanilla bean ice cream, cool whip, or whipped cream; this also warms up great in the microwave.
