Polly Welby's Excellent Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate
  • 10 fluid ounces heavy cream

  • chop chocolate and place in top of a double boiler, or in a microwave-safe bowl, microwave chocolate until melted. stir occasionally until chocolate is smooth. allow to cool slightly.
  • whip cream in large bowl with electric mixer until soft peaks barely form.
  • fold chocolate into cream and spoon into serving dishes. chill 30 minutes in refrigerator, until set.

best green bean casserole

  • 2 (14.5 ounce) cans green beans, drained
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (6 ounce) can french fried onions
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • preheat oven to 350 degrees f (175 degrees c).
  • place green beans and soup in a large microwave-safe bowl. mix well and heat in the microwave on high until warm (3 to 5 minutes). stir in 1/2 cup of cheese and heat mixture for another 2 to 3 minutes. transfer green bean mixture to a casserole dish and sprinkle with french fried onions and remaining cheese.
  • bake in a preheated 350 degrees f (175 degrees c) oven until the cheese melts and the onions just begin to brown.

  • 1 (5.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 (6 ounce) package chocolate chunks

  • preheat oven to 350 degrees f (175 degrees c). butter and flour a 10-inch fluted tube pan (such as bundt®).
  • mix cake mix, sour cream, pudding mix, vegetable oil, coffee, and eggs together in a bowl; fold in chocolate chunks. pour batter into the prepared pan.
  • bake in the preheated oven until cake springs back when lightly touched, 65 to 75 minutes. cool in pan on a wire rack. slice cake and microwave each piece for 10 seconds to serve.

  • 1 loaf french bread, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup raisins, or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon maple-flavored extract
  • 1 teaspoon -flavored extract
  • 1/4 cup water, or as needed
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (such as eagle brand®)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons spice
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

  • grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • spread bread cubes into the prepared baking dish.
  • mix raisins, maple-flavored extract, and -flavored extract together in a bowl; pour in enough water to almost cover raisins. heat raisin mixture in microwave until raisins are plump, about 1 1/2 minutes; set aside to cool slightly.
  • beat milk, pumpkin puree, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, raisin mixture, brown sugar, butter, molasses, vanilla extract, spice, cinnamon, allspice, and ginger together in a large bowl until smooth; pour over bread. set mixture aside until bread has absorbed the liquid, about 1 hour.
  • preheat oven to 350 degrees f (175 degrees c).
  • bake in the preheated oven until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, 45 to 50 minutes.

Turkey Bacon Avocado Sandwich

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 1 tablespoon reduced-fat mayonnaise (optional)
  • 2 slices bread, toasted
  • 1 slice provolone cheese
  • 4 thin slices deli turkey breast
  • 4 slices precooked bacon, microwaved according to package directions
  • 1/2 avocado - peeled, pitted, and thinly sliced
  • 1 slice ripe tomato
  • 1 leaf lettuce

  • spread mayonnaise on one side of both slices of toasted bread. top a bread slice with provolone cheese, turkey, bacon, avocado, tomato, and lettuce. place the remaining bread slice on top, slice in half, and serve.

Good Morning Wrap

  • 2 (10 inch) flour tortillas
  • 1 cup cottage cheese, divided
  • 1 cup chopped fresh pineapple, divided
  • 1/2 cup granola cereal, divided
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar, divided
  • 2 bananas, sliced lengthwise

  • place the tortillas into a microwave oven, and heat on high until warmed and pliable, 10 to 15 seconds.
  • spread each tortilla with cottage cheese and pineapple, sprinkle with granola cereal and brown sugar, and top with a sliced banana.
  • fold the top and bottom of each tortilla down, enclosing the filling, and roll the wrap tightly into a compact cylinder. slice each wrap in half across the middle to serve.
