Broccoli 'n Rice Casserole

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (10 ounce) package chopped broccoli, thawed and drained
  • 1 cup minute rice
  • 1 (8 ounce) jar cheez whiz
  • 1 cup french-fried onions
  • 1/4 cup water

Recipe

  • 1 microwave: mix together soup, broccoli, cheese, 1/2 the onions and water.
  • 2 spoon into a 1 quart casserole dish.
  • 3 microwave on high 4 minutes.
  • 4 stir; top with remaining onion.
  • 5 microwave on high 6-8 minutes.

Apple-sausage Pancake Wrap

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/2 mcintosh apples, quartered, cored (brush with lemon juice to prevent browning)
  • 1 dash ground cinnamon
  • 8 fully cooked low-fat sausages
  • 1 cup pancake mix
  • 1 cup nonfat milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • nonstick cooking spray
  • 8 teaspoons rolled oats

Recipe

  • 1 thinly slice apple wedges lengthwise and arrange on a microwavable plate. sprinkle with cinnamon and microwave on high about 2 minutes, or until apples are softened but not mushy.
  • 2 meanwhile, heat sausages in a skillet over medium heat according to package directions; remove and keep warm.
  • 3 combine pancake mix, milk, egg, and oil; stir until large lumps disappear.
  • 4 carefully wipe out hot pan, then coat with nonstick cooking spray. pour a little less than 1/4 cup batter into the skillet for each pancake (in order to be wrapped, they should be thinner than usual and about 5 inches in diameter, or about the size of a taco shell); sprinkle each with 1 teaspoon oats.
  • 5 cook until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, about 2 minutes.

Chewy Or Crunchy Flapjacks

Ingredients

  • 9 tablespoons porridge oats (chopped rolled oats)
  • 9 tablespoons rolled oats (or you can use all porridge oats)
  • 10 tablespoons margarine
  • 5 tablespoons golden syrup
  • 5 tablespoons sugar

Recipe

  • 1 put the margarine, sugar & golden syrup in saucepan (or microwaveable bowl if using a microwave oven) and heat until it is all liquid.
  • 2 meanwhile line the a square shallow baking tin with greaseproof paper. (about 8-inch tin).
  • 3 mix all the oats into the liquid.
  • 4 put the mixture into the baking tin & press flat.
  • 5 bake at 175 deg c (gas mark 4 or about 350 f) for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • 6 warning: the timing is tolerant but accuracy in temperature is critical.
  • 7 slice into 8 fingers before it sets but leave in place in tin.
  • 8 leave to cool and set.

  • 10 the recipe is identical to chewy version but cook at 15 deg (one gas mark) hotter.

Creme De Brie Fondue For Two

  • 1 combine crème de brie and wine in small microwave-safe custard cup. microwave on 50% power for 1 minute, stirring once, until warm.

  • 3 place custard cup on plate with apple and baguette. serve with fondue forks.

Broccoli & Bacon Pasta Bake

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 11 ounces pasta shells
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 12 ounces broccoli
  • 5 ounces frozen peas
  • 1 cup cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 1/2 ounces cheddar cheese, grated

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f
  • 2 cook the pasta according to the packet instructions. drain, return to the pan.
  • 3 meanwhile, heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. add the bacon and onion, and cook, until soft and lightly browned.
  • 4 break the broccoli into small florets. cook the broccoli and peas in a steamer or in the microwave until tender.
  • 5 use a fork to mix the cream and eggs together in a jug.
  • 6 add bacon, onion, broccoli, peas and the cream along with 2oz of the cheddar to the pasta. stir.
  • 7 spoon into an ovenproof dish. sprinkle remaining cheddar. bake until golden.

  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon extract

  • 1 combine cracker crumbs, oats and brown sugar in medium bowl. stir in melted butter with a fork until evenly moistened. press into 8-inch springform pan.
  • 2 beat 1 cup heavy cream until stiff peaks form. beat in 2 tablespoons sugar and lemon extract. place cream cheese on microwave-safe plate. mircowave on high 15 to 20 seconds or until very soft. add to whipped cream, beating until smooth. pour boiling water over gelatine in small bowl. stir about 2 minutes or until gelatine is completely dissolved. beat into cream cheese mixture until blended. stir in 3/4 cup preserves. spread over crumb crust. chill 2 hours or overnight.
  • 3 beat remaining 1/2 cup heavy cream until stiff peaks form. beat in 1 tablespoon sugar. place in resealable plastic bag. cut small corner off bag. remove outer rim of pan. place dollops of whipped cream around outside edge of cheesecake. stir remaining preserves with fresh blueberries in small bowl. spoon evenly in center of cheesecake.

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

  • 1 brownies: combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Bugle Snack Mix

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces bugles original flavor snacks (origional)
  • 1 cup nuts, any kind (i tend to use more)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 large brown paper bag

Recipe

  • 1 put bugels and nuts in grocery bag.
  • 2 in microwave, melt butter.
  • 3 add brown sugar and corn syrup to butter and stir well.
  • 4 microwave on high for 2 minutes. remove and stir with wisk.
  • 5 microwave for 2 more minutes.
  • 6 remove , stir well and add vanilla and baking soda and stir again.
  • 7 pour over bugel mix in bag and shake well.
  • 8 close bag and microwave for 1 1/2 minutes, remove and shake well again.
  • 9 microwave for another 1 1/2 minutes.
  • 10 remove, shake bag hard then spread contents onto foil to cool.
  • 11 when cool, break apart the rest of the way and store in a container.

Cranberry Glazed Lamb Chops

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 lamb chops (or 8 small chops)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped or 2 teaspoons dried rosemary, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 if the chops are particularly thick, place each one between two layers of plastic wrap and gently flatten them using the heel of your hand or a wooden mallet until they are about 1/2 inch thick.
  • 2 combine the cranberry relish, rosemary and vinegar (it sometimes helps to warm the cranberry relish a bit in the microwave or a small saucepan). put half of the cranberry mixture in a container large enough to hold all the chops - this is the marinade. set aside the second half of the mixture to use later as the glaze.
  • 3 toss the chops with the cranberry marinade, cover, and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
  • 4 preheat oven broiler.
  • 5 when the broiler is ready, take the chops out of the fridge. wipe off the marinade, sprinkle the chops with salt and pepper, and place them on a rack and broiling pan.
  • 6 position the pan close to the source of heat and broil chops 4 minutes. brush chops with half of the glaze, broil for another minute. turn the chops over and broil 2-3 minutes longer. brush on remaining glaze and broil about a minute longer or until chops are medium-rare or of desired doneness.

Buggs' Az Verde Birdie

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 lbs chicken breasts (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 small red onions or 1 small shallot, finely diced
  • 1 (24 ounce) jar salsa verde (herdez brand preferred, but you can use old el paso or la victoria)
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies (macayo brand preferred, but oep is ok)
  • 1 lime, well juiced 1 extra lime for squeezing on top
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese or 2 cups monterey jack cheese

Recipe

  • 1 ready a crockpot on low.
  • 2 in a mixing bowl combine all ingredients except chicken. whisk or fork stir very well.
  • 3 pour 1/2 the bowl contents into warm crock pot.
  • 4 add the chicken breast.
  • 5 pour remaining contents of bowl over chicken breast.
  • 6 cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. do not use high as it will make the chicken grainy!
  • 7 when time is up, use 2 forks to shred chicken, and stir up the sauce as you do so.
  • 8 warm 8-10 inches flour tortillas in microwave (no oil) or cast iron skillet with little oil. just to make them pliable.
  • 9 place tortilla on a warmed dinner plate. add 2-3 tbs.(or as much as you desire) chicken mixture 1/3 way up from bottom of tortilla.
  • 10 add cheese as desired. you may want to top at this point with finely chopped fresh cilantro. (not italian parsley!), or an extra squeeze of lime. roll tortilla up from bottom over meat, then fold in right then left sides, fold down top and roll into burrito shape, seam side down. also at this point, if you prefer, you may transfer to a glass baking dish, top with more cheese and a li'l salsa and oven bake 350dgs. til golden brown to make an oven "fried" chimichanga. top with sour cream, chopped fresh cilantro, and sliced green onion tops, and maybe some sliced black olives!

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 medium head cauliflower, broken into florets
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons minced chives
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Recipe

  • 1 place the cauliflower and water in a microwave-safe dish.
  • 2 cover and cook on high for 4-1/2 minutes and stir.
  • 3 cook 4-6 minutes longer or until tender.
  • 4 drain.
  • 5 combine sour cream, chives, salt and pepper and spoon over the cauliflower.
  • 6 sprinkle with cheese.
  • 7 microwave, uncovered, on high for 1 1/2 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Barbecue Chicken With Cornbread Topper

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (15 ounce) can red beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 (6 1/2 ounce) envelope cornbread mix
  • ingredients for cornbread mix

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375°f.
  • 2 cut chicken into 3/4-inch cubes.
  • 3 heat nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  • 4 add chicken; cook and stir 5 minutes or until cooked through.
  • 5 combine chicken, beans, tomato sauce, bell pepper and barbecue sauce in 8-inch microwavable ovenproof dish.
  • 6 loosely cover chicken mixture with plastic wrap or waxed paper.
  • 7 microwave on medium-high (70% power) 8 minutes or until heated through, stirring after 4 minutes.
  • 8 while chicken mixture is heating, prepare cornbread mix according to package directions.
  • 9 spoon batter over chicken mixture.
  • 10 bake 15 to 18 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of cornbread layer comes out clean.

Candied Orange Slices Dipped In Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 4 valencia oranges
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 cups granulated sugar, as needed for coating
  • 2 lbs semisweet chocolate, chopped into small pieces (reserve a 2-ounce chunk)

Recipe

  • 1 cut the oranges in half lengthwise, with the cut side down slice the oranges crosswise into 1/4-inch slices, (you will have 1/2 of a slice of orange:do-not peel),discard the ends.
  • 2 in a 10-inch saute pan combine the water and the 3 1/2 cups of sugar, stir to blend, then bring to a boil over medium heat.
  • 3 add the orange slices, separating them, and simmer them gently for 1 hour uncovered; peroidically dunk any floating slices.
  • 4 remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
  • 5 remove the orange slices, with a slotted spoon and transfer to a cooling rack set over a baking sheet to let drain and dry for 24 hours; note; i dryed them in my oven set for for baked goods, or if oven has a pilot light, this worked great if it is a damp day.
  • 6 after drying the slices, toss them in the granulated sugar and reserve them, do not stack them as they will stick together.
  • 7 while you are coating the orange slices with the sugar, have the chocolate melting slowly in the top of a double boiler over 120 degree water: chocolate can be melted in the microwave.
  • 8 when all the chocolate is melted and creamy and registers 100 degrees on an instant themometer, remove the top section from the double boiler.
  • 9 add the 2-ounce of chocolate and gently stir until the thermometer reads 88 degrees to 91 degree, then remove what remains of the chunk of chocolate.
  • 10 now dip the orange slices 2/3 of the way into the chocalate; gently scrape off excess chocolate against the side of the pan.
  • 11 place the orange slices on a sheet of wax paper to set.
  • 12 work quickly with the slices if the chocolate becomes to thick for dipping, place it over the 120 degree water again until it reaches 88 to 91 degrees.

Almond Roca In The Round

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 45 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups toasted sliced almonds, divided
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening

Recipe

  • 1 lightly spray 36 mini-muffin cups with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.
  • 2 in a large saucepan, heat butter over medium heat until butter is melted. add sugars, water and corn syrup, stirring to combine well. cook, stirring until sugar dissolves. raise heat to medium-high. bring mixture to a boil. cook, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, until mixture reaches 300 degrees f. on a candy thermometer. remove from heat, and stir in 1 cup toasted almonds.
  • 3 working quickly, carefully spoon about 1 tablespoon sugar mixture into prepared muffin pans.
  • 4 in a small bowl, combine chocolate morsels and vegetable shortening. microwave on high in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until melted and smooth (approximately 1-1/2 minutes total.).
  • 5 spoon about 2 teaspoons chocolate mixture on top of sugar mixture, spreading chocolate to edges of muffin cup. sprinkle remaining 1/2 cups almonds on top of chocolate. let stand for 1 hour, or until chocolate is set.
  • 6 note: to make a simplified version of almond roca, prepare butter-sugar mixture according to recipe directions, but instead of spooning it into muffin pans, simply spoon onto a sheet of parchment paper or a silpat. spread to 1/4-inch thickness. allow to cool completely. spread melted chocolate on top of cooled candy. sprinkle wih remaining 1/2 cup toasted almonds. let stand for an hour or until chocolate is set. break into pieces and enjoy!

Baked Creamy Chicken Taquitos

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup green chili salsa
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (juice from half a lime)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tablespoons chopped cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 cup shredded mexican flavored cheese
  • 8 small corn tortillas or 8 small flour tortillas
  • kosher salt
  • cooking spray

Recipe

  • 1 preheat your oven to 425°f line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 2 in a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, salsa, lime juice, ground cumin, chili powder, onion powder and garlic. once combined, stir in the cilantro and green onions. add the chicken and cheese; mix thoroughly.
  • 3 (if you decided to prep this in advance, refrigerate the mixture at this point until ready to continue.).
  • 4 working with a few tortillas at a time, heat them in the microwave between two paper towels until they are soft enough to roll (about 20 – 30 seconds).
  • 5 spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the chicken mixture onto the lower third of a tortilla. roll the tortilla as tightly as you can.
  • 6 place the rolled tortilla seam side down on the baking sheet. repeat with remaining tortillas until the mixture is gone. make sure the taquitos are not touching each other. spray the tops lightly with cooking spray and sprinkle with kosher salt.
  • 7 bake for 15 – 20 minutes or until crisp and golden. serve with salsa, sour cream or guacamole.
  • 8 **to freeze: before baking, chill the taquitos on the baking sheet in the fridge. once completely cooled, wrap each taquito individually with plastic wrap. place in a labeled freezer bag and freeze. to bake a frozen taquito (no need to thaw first): preheat oven to 425f and bake for 20 minutes.

Broccoli & Carrots W/ Rice

  • 1 cup broccoli floret
  • 1 medium carrot, sliced
  • 1 cup rice, cooked
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon spicy brown mustard
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1/4 ginger
  • 1/4 cumin
  • 1/4 dill
  • 1/4 garlic powder
  • 1/4 salt & pepper

Recipe

  • 1 mix everything together in a microwave safe bowl.
  • 2 microwave on high for 20-30 seconds, just enough to soften up the cheese.

Buffalo Wings

Total Time: 2 hrs Preparation Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 40 ounces kc masterpiece barbecue sauce (large jar)
  • 16 ounces frank's red hot sauce
  • 2 teaspoons tabasco sauce
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper
  • 16 ounces honey
  • 10 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or more to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Recipe

  • 1 defrost and drain wings, if frozen. pat dry with paper towels.
  • 2 combine flour, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper in a large tupperware container with lid. add about 1/3 of the wings at a time to flour mixture, cover, shake, add more wings and flour until all wings are added. shake well and refrigerate one to one and a half hours.
  • 3 heat oil in deep fryer to 375 degrees.
  • 4 meanwhile melt butter in a large pot. add bbq sauce, hot sauce (almost the whole bottle, leave about a ¼ left in bottle), tabasco, cayenne pepper and about 1 cup honey. bring to boil and adjust honey to taste.
  • 5 fry wings about 10 at a time until golden brown. drain a minute or two on paper towels, then add to bbq sauce mixture. stir well in bbq sauce, spoon out and add to a large roasting pan. continue until all wings are fried and added to bbq sauce and roasting pan. preheat oven to 375 degrees. cook wings about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 6 serve with blue cheese dressing. reheats well in microwave or oven.

Candied Pretzels

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 400
  • 2 (16 ounce) bags miniature pretzel twists
  • 1 lb m&m'
  • 2 lbs milk chocolate

Recipe

  • 1 place all pretzels in a single layer on wax paper, make sure you have lots of room.
  • 2 place about 1/2 lb. of chocolate in a microwave safe bowl.
  • 3 microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring inbetween until chocolate is smooth.
  • 4 spoon a small amount of chocolate in the center knot of each pretzel. (i do a small section of chocolate, and then i go to the next step if i don't have help).
  • 5 immediately place a m&m on top of the chocolate.
  • 6 let cool until chocolate is set.
  • 7 store in an air tight container, if they last that long, very addictive.

Almond Butter - Chocolate Sauce/shell

  • 1 (15 ounce) can fat free chicken broth
  • 1 cup couscous

  • 1 core and seed the peppers and cut in half lengthwise. pre-cook in microwave about 4 minutes.
  • 2 bring chicken broth to boil and add dry couscous.
  • 3 stir in ranch mix. toss in pre-cooked thinly sliced, chicken sausage.
  • 4 cook for about 10 minutes, stirring to keep from sticking. simmer on about med/low.
  • 5 when most of the water has been absorbed, lay peppers on baking tray and spoon couscous and sausages into the peppers.

  • 1 preheat oven to 350f and line a large rimmed baking sheet with foil.

  • 2 (4 ounce) cans green chilies (whole or chopped)
  • 2 cups monterey jack cheese, shredded

  • 1 soften flour tortillas in a warm oven or in a microwave. this makes them easier to handle. i soften one tortilla at a time, build a relleno, and then warm another tortilla. if you warm them all at once, the last onces may get hard before you can roll them.
  • 2 lay tortilla on flat surface, place 1/2 cup cheese in center of tortilla and place 1/4 to 1/2 can of chilies on top of cheese. fold bottom of tortilla over the cheese/chilies (away from you), then hold that while you fold in both sides. finally, fold top side of pouch back over the center and close by securing with a toothpick or two. this will need to hold the relleno closed while it's baking or frying (if it's loose, the insides will leak out). repeat with the other tortillas until you have used all four.
  • 3 place rellenos in deep fryer and fry for approximately 4 minutes on a fairly hot setting. if you don't have a deep fryer, place in a cast iron or other heavy skillet that has about 1 inch or so of oil in it, heated to a medium-hot setting. fry on each side for about 2 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese in the center has had a chance to melt. if you don't want to fry, place rellenos on a baking sheet and bake in a hot oven (380 degrees f) for about 10 minutes (or until golden brown).
  • 4 while rellenos are cooking, heat salsa just until warm in small sauce pan over medium heat or about 1 minute in a microwave (on full power).
  • 5 if you fried the rellenos, drain on paper towels. if you baked them, go to the straight to the plate! place chili rellenos in the center of a plate, remove all toothpicks, and cover each relleno in about half a cup of warm salsa. serve immediately.
  • 6 they should be crunchy on the outside with warm melted cheese and chilies on the inside. serve with refried beans, mexican rice, warm tortilla chips, and a side salad.

  • 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pinch salt

Recipe

  • 1 preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  • 2 combine bisquick with cold butter in a medium bowl using a pastry cutter or a large fork. you don't want to mix too thoroughly. there should be small chunks of butter in there that are about the size of peas. add cheddar cheese, milk, and ¼ teaspoon garlic. mix by hand until combined, but don't over mix.
  • 3 drop approximately ¼-cup portions of the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet using an ice cream scoop.
  • 4 bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits begin to turn light brown.

  • 1 preheat oven to 180c (160c for fan assisted).
  • 2 line a muffin tin with 12 liners.
  • 3 sift dry ingredients into a large bowl, using the back of a spoon to push the light muscovado sugar through a sieve.
  • 4 combine eggs, creme de cacao, cream, and vanilla in a medium sized bowl, and mix with a fork. try to avoid thickening the cream.
  • 5 melt the butter in the microwave.
  • 6 add all wet ingredients to the dry, and fold together with a large metal spoon until just moistened.
  • 7 spoon into prepared muffin cups.
  • 8 bake for 20-25 minutes until the tops spring back gently when pressed.
  • 9 cool a little on a wire rack. dust the tops with confectioners' sugar while still warm.

  • 1 preheat oven to 450 degrees. grease a 9x13 pan with tall sides and set aside.
  • 2 in a large bowl combine flour, baking powder, sugar, cream of tartar and salt. mix well.
  • 3 add in garlic, cayenne pepper and onion powder. stir to combine.
  • 4 work in softened butter with a pastry blender or grate frozen butter into the mixture on a small size.
  • 5 after making sure that the butter is evenly distributed in the dry ingredients.
  • 6 add in cheese and stir to combine and coat the cheese with the dry mixture.

  • 9 take the last four ingredients (butter, garlic, parsley, paprika and salt) and melt in a small pan over medium low heat or in the microwave until butter melts and combine the mixture.
  • 10 spoon half the butter mixture over the bisccuits.
  • 11 bake at 450 for 25 minutes or until done.
  • 12 after you remove the biscuits out of the oven spoon the remaining butter mixture over the biscuits and enjoy!

  • 1 for the dough: combine flour, baking powder, sugar and basil.
  • 2 add milk powder to water and stir until dissolved, add to dry mixture.
  • 3 add eggs and melted butter and mix well.
  • 4 set aside while making the filling.
  • 5 for the filling: cook onions in butter over medium heat until onions are tender.
  • 6 add chicken and mushroom pieces and cook 2 minutes.
  • 7 remove from heat and stir in barbecue sauce and cheese.
  • 8 divide dough into 4 pieces and roll out into 8 inch circles.
  • 9 place 3/4 cup - 1 cup of filling in each circle.
  • 10 fold dough in half and seal edges tightly.
  • 11 bake at 350°f for 15-20 minutes or until top begins to brown slightly.
  • 12 for oamc: cool and freeze at this point.
  • 13 defrost in the oven or microwave before serving.
  • 14 serve warm with extra barbecue sauce to dip if desired.

Chicken Grill Italienne

  • 6 whole boned chicken breasts (skin on)
  • 2 tablespoons onions, green finely chopped or 2 tablespoons yellow onions, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • garlic powder, salt and pepper (for sprinkling)
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced
  • of butter and olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups bread, crumbs
  • 1/2 lb thinly sliced ham or 1/2 lb prosciutto, finely chopped
  • 12 wooden toothpicks (soaked in water for 5 minutes)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat grill so that coals are hot in time for grilling.
  • 2 melt butter in microwave, stir in oil. to this warm mixture, add parsley, rosemary, minced garlic, chopped onion and paprika (a pinch of rubbed sage may optionally be added if you have it on hand, but be careful not to overdo). allow the herbs to infuse for 10 minutes. remove 3-4 tablespoons to a separate small bowl and use this to brush both sides of the chicken.
  • 3 place chicken breasts, skin side down, on a layer of wax paper or plastic wrap. pound lightly with the back of a heavy frying pan or meat mallet until slightly flattened out. sprinkle chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • 4 in a small bowl, mix together bread crumbs with parmesan cheese and chopped ham. add remaining butter, oil and herb mixture to bread crumbs and stir until well combined (if mixture seems too thick, add a tablespoon or so of warm water or more olive oil).
  • 5 spoon stuffing mixture into the hollow part inside the chicken breasts. fold edges of chicken over stuffing to cover and fasten together securely with wooden toothpicks.
  • 6 place chicken (about 6 inches away) over hot coals on grill, skin side down. grill on one side for about 20 minutes; brush again with more butter/oil mixture (if you run out, just use olive oil spray). turn chicken over and grill for another 20 minutes or until chicken is tender and golden. remove toothpicks and serve.
  • 7 variation: place a slice of provolone cheese over each breast before stuffing and rolling up.
  • 8 to make a great take-along lunch, this may also be prepared in aluminum foil pouches (one for each breast). spray the inner side of the foil with olive oil and add a slice of or two of onion to each packet for extra flavor.

  • 2 combine chicken and barbecue sauce in a microwave safe bowl. microwave at high for one minute or until thoroughly heated, stirring after 30 seconds.
  • 3 divide chicken mixture among tortillas; top with slaw. roll up tortillas; place wraps seam side down on a cutting board.
  • 4 cut wraps in half crosswise, securing with wooden toothpicks. serve immediatley.

  • 24 1/4 ounces cheesecake filling (such as philadelphia cheesecake filling)
  • 21 ounces apple pie filling
  • 10 -12 flour tortillas
  • cinnamon sugar (for topping)
  • caramel ice cream topping (for topping)
  • vanilla ice cream (for topping)

Recipe

  • 1 fold desired amount of apple pie filling into cheesecake filling.
  • 2 warm tortillas slightly in microwave.
  • 3 spoon cheesecake mixture into tortillas in a rectangular form offset from the middle.
  • 4 fold sides in first, bottom, then roll. ensure that it is sealed all the way around.
  • 5 roll in wax paper and freeze.
  • 6 when ready to prepare remove fully frozen chimi cheesecakes from wax paper and fry in 350 degree oil for approximately 3-4 minutes.

  • 1/2 lb cold butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup shortening, approximately
  • 6 tablespoons ice-cold water, varies...depending on the day

  • 1 combine first 5 ingredients in the *magical* pie dough transformer (food processor).
  • 2 pulse these ingredients together only slightly. too much pulsing causes excess friction which melts the butter and creates a dense, yucky pie dough.
  • 3 gradually add the ice cold water while pulsing. dough should just start to come together but will still seem somewhat dry. pea-sized butter chunks are what makes the world go 'round.
  • 4 pour/dump dough out, combine and knead gently & slightly, just to bring dough together.
  • 5 divide into two rounds & freeze/chill until ready to use.
  • 6 whenever possible, thaw dough to room temp., but you can cut frozen dough into large chunks & microwave carefully.

  • 1 in a pan over medium heat melt butter.
  • 2 add almonds, sesame seeds and vanilla and let brown.
