Cheesy Bacon Wrapped Date Yummies

Ingredients
- 40 pitted dates
- 1/2 lb sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 lb bacon
Recipe
- 1 cut cheese into small narrow slices to fit inside a pitted date hole.
- 2 inside of each date, insert cheese.
- 3 cut bacon into thirds.
- 4 wrap each date with enough bacon to cover the date.
- 5 fasten with a toothpick.
- 6 place each date on a wire cooling rack, placed over a pan to catch bacon drippings.
- 7 bake at 375 degrees for approximately 15-20 minutes until bacon is crisp.
- 8 transfer to a serving plate or store covered.
- 9 reheat later in microwave to serve hot.
