Cheesy Bacon Rounds

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 cups colby-monterey jack cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (real mayo not miracle whip)
  • 1/2 cup chopped bacon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 french baguettes, loafs

Recipe

  • 1 in a microwave safe bowl cook the bacon pieces ( the kind used for salads) for approximately 40 seconds and let cool. this gives them a head start on being crispy.
  • 2 in a bowl combine: mayo, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  • 3 once mayo mixture is complete add in bacon pieces and cheese and combine well and set aside.
  • 4 slice baguette so that pieces are about a fingers width. line cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
  • 5 take bread slices and spread mayo mixture evenly on top and place in rows on cookie sheet.
  • 6 bake slices at 350°f for approximately 8-10 minutes or until crisp and golden. let stand for 5 minutes and serve warm.
