Bircher Muesli

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/3 cup pumpkin seeds
- 1/3 cup linseeds
- 1 1/3 cups sultanas (or any combination of dried fruit)
- 2/3 cup buckwheat groats
- 1 1/3 cups barley, flakes
- 2 cups oats
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
Recipe
- 1 mix all ingredients together.
- 2 put 1/2 cup of the muesli in a bowl with 1/2 cup of cold water, milk or juice, stir, cover and leave overnight in the fridge to soak.
- 3 for a quick breakfast, prepare as above, cook on high for 1-3 minutes in the microwave.
- 4 serving suggestions: stir in fresh grated raw apple or other fresh fruit just before serving. to enhance the healthful properties serve with low fat yoghurt and a spoonful of (manuka) honey.
