Chocolate Biscuits For Valentine's Day!

Total Time: 34 mins Preparation Time: 25 mins Cook Time: 9 mins

Ingredients

  • 250 g softened butter
  • 125 g soft brown sugar
  • 5 ml vanilla essence
  • 250 g self-raising flour
  • 6 g hintz dutch-processed cocoa powder
  • 1 large egg, beaten

Recipe

  • 1 cream butter in a large bowl.
  • 2 beat in the sugar, egg and essence.
  • 3 fold in the flour and cocoa powder until you get a thick paste-like consistency of the dough.
  • 4 divide the dough into walnut size pieces.
  • 5 roll into balls.
  • 6 place at regular intervals on a flat, non-metallic tray.
  • 7 flatten each one with a fork.
  • 8 bake in batches of 10 in a microwave oven for 2-3 minutes.
  • 9 lift the biscuits off carefully onto a cooling rack.
  • 10 cool and serve.
