Coconut Chewy Macaroons

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup fat-free evaporated milk
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
- 3 1/4 cups shredded coconut
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips, melted (optional)
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 325 degrees f.
- 2 combine and heat evaporated milk, sugar, and butter in microwave until butter is completely melted.
- 3 stir in vanilla and almond extracts.
- 4 in a separate bowl, combine coconut and flour.
- 5 fold wet mixture into dry until combined.
- 6 drop by spoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet.
- 7 bake 10-13 minutes, until tops are golden brown.
- 8 cool on wire rack.
- 9 melt chocolate chips and use to dip the bottoms of the cookies.
- 10 enjoy!
