Chocolate Picnic Cake

Ingredients

• 2 (1 ounce) unsweetened chocolate squares
• 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 egg
• 1 cup sugar
• 3/4 cup cold water
• 1/3 cup vegetable oil
• 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Recipe

• 1 in a microwave, melt chocolate; cool for 10 minutes.
• 2 combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
• 3 in a mixing bowl, beat the egg and sugar.
• 4 beat in the water and oil.
• 5 stir in the melted chocolate and dry ingredients; mix until blended.
• 6 pour into a greased 8 inch square baking pan.
• 7 sprinkle with chocolate chips.
• 8 bake at 350° for 32-38 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
• 9 cool on a wire rack!
