Chocolate Tipped Butter Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened and divided (no substitutions)
- 3 tablespoons butter, softened and divided (no substitutions)
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
Recipe
- 1 in mixixng bowl cream 1 cup butter and sugar.
- 2 add flour and vanilla and mix well.
- 3 cover and refridgerate for 1 hour.
- 4 shape 1/2 cup of dough into 1/2 inches long logs.
- 5 cut logs into 2 1/2 inches pieces.
- 6 place on ungreased baking sheet.
- 7 bake at 350* for 12-14 minutes or until lightly browned.
- 8 cool on wire racks.
- 9 in microwave or double boikler melt chocolate and remaining butter.
- 10 dip one end of cookie into chocolate and then into nuts.
- 11 place on wax paper until chocolate is set.
