Chocolate Tipped Butter Cookies

Total Time: 29 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 14 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened and divided (no substitutions)
  • 3 tablespoons butter, softened and divided (no substitutions)
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

Recipe

  • 1 in mixixng bowl cream 1 cup butter and sugar.
  • 2 add flour and vanilla and mix well.
  • 3 cover and refridgerate for 1 hour.
  • 4 shape 1/2 cup of dough into 1/2 inches long logs.
  • 5 cut logs into 2 1/2 inches pieces.
  • 6 place on ungreased baking sheet.
  • 7 bake at 350* for 12-14 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • 8 cool on wire racks.
  • 9 in microwave or double boikler melt chocolate and remaining butter.
  • 10 dip one end of cookie into chocolate and then into nuts.
  • 11 place on wax paper until chocolate is set.
