Caramel Chex

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1 (12 ounce) box chex cereal
- 2 brown paper bags
Recipe
- 1 put two paper bags together (one inside the other).
- 2 pour the entire box of chex into the bag(s) and set aside.
- 3 melt the butter, sugar and corn syrup in a saucepan on med-high heat until boiling, stir constantly.
- 4 boil for 1 1/2 minutes.
- 5 pour the mixture on top of the chex in the bag, roll down the top of the bag and shake well.
- 6 put the bag into the microwave for 20 seconds, remove and shake.
- 7 repeat step #6 four times.
- 8 spread the chex onto a cookie sheet (works best on one with edges), lightly sprayed with butter-flavored pam.
- 9 stir frequently as it cools, so it doesn't harden into one big clump.
