Cheese Puffs

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 4 ounces cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
  • 1 loaf unsliced bread, crusts removed,and cut into 1 inch cubes (1 pound)

Recipe

  • 1 melt cream cheese and cheddar cheese, and butter in the microwave or in top of a double boiler.
  • 2 remove; fold in beaten egg whites.
  • 3 dip the bread cubes in the mixture to coat.
  • 4 place on baking sheet; cover with plastic wrap.
  • 5 chill overnight (the coated bread cubes can also be frozen for later baking).
  • 6 remove from the fridge, remove plastic wrap.
  • 7 bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minute, or until brown.
  • 8 these puffs freeze well after baking.
