Chocolate Fudge Cake

Total Time: 37 mins Preparation Time: 12 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 (16 ounce) package brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate squares, melted and cooled (i do this in the microwave)
  • 2 1/4 cups sifted cake flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (8 ounce) carton sour cream
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 cream butter,; gradually add brown sugar, beating well.
  • 2 add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • 3 add chocolate, mix well.
  • 4 combine flour, soda, and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream.
  • 5 beat well.
  • 6 add water and vanilla; stir well.
  • 7 pour batter into 3 greased and floured 9in cake pans.
  • 8 bake at 350* for 25 minutes or until cake tests done.
  • 9 cool in pans 10 minutes.
  • 10 remove and cool completely on wire racks.
