Chocolate Fudge Brownie

Ingredients
- Servings: 12
- 375 g chocolate (about 1 pkt dark chocolate melts)
- 200 g butter
- 1 1/2 cups icing sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup nuts, optional (pecans, walnuts etc.)
Recipe
- 1 melt the chocolate and butter over low heat or in the microwave.
- 2 remove from heat, adding the icing sugar and mix well.
- 3 add vanilla essence and eggs one at a time, stirring well to mix.
- 4 add flour and nuts if using. (the mixture should be wet and elastic in consistency.)
- 5 pour into a baking paper lined sponge roll tin 20x30 cm and bake at 180°c for 30 to 35 minutes.
- 6 leave in the tin to cool.
- 7 when completely cold, lift out and cut into squares.
- 8 dust with icing sugar to serve.
