Banana Smores

Total Time: 2 mins Preparation Time: 2 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 3 graham crackers
  • 1/2 hershey chocolate candy bar

Recipe

  • 1 slice the banana into 1/4 inch slices.
  • 2 break the graham crackers in half.
  • 3 put 4 slices of banana over the surface of a cracker half.
  • 4 put 2 squares of chocolate on the banana (they'll take up half of the space).
  • 5 put the other cracker half on top.
  • 6 repeat with the other two crackers.
  • 7 microwave on high for 15 seconds.

Banana Split Brownie Pizza

Total Time: 38 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 18 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 1/2 ounce) roll chocolate fudge refrigerated brownie bar dough, pillsbury suggested
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2 bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup chocolate fudge topping

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees f. line a 12 x 3/4-inch pizza pan with foil; grease and flour foil. spread brownie batter on foil in pan.
  • 2 bake 15 to 18 minutes in preheated oven or until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. cool completely, about 1 hour.
  • 3 meanwhile, in small bowl, beat cream cheese and pineapple on low speed until blended. spread over cooled brownie; top with fruit. drizzle chocolate topping over fruit. (if necessary for drizzling, microwave as directed on container.) refrigerate until serving time. cut into 16 wedges or squares. cover and refrigerate any remaining pizza.

Cheese Ravioli With Meat Sauce

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 1 lb ground beef (i have substituted ground deer as well and it comes out fine.)
  • 1 (25 1/2 ounce) can of your preferred red pasta sauce
  • 35 -40 frozen cheese ravioli
  • oregano
  • basil
  • salt (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 season raw meat with oregano, basil and salt to taste.
  • 2 brown in microwave (3 minutes on high, chop and stir, another 3 minutes on high).
  • 3 drain meat.
  • 4 pour sauce over browned meat.
  • 5 microwave on high for 3 minutes.
  • 6 bring water to a brisk boil in large pot.
  • 7 slowly add ravioli to boiling water. add salt if desired.
  • 8 cook as desired, stirring occasionally to prevent ravioli from sticking to each other and pot. (about 2 minutes for al dente and 6 minutes for well done.).
  • 9 drain ravioli and add to meatsauce.

Butter-basted Potatoes

  • 4 potatoes, medium (rinsed)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 medium onion (rinsed)
  • 1/2-1 teaspoon herb-seasoned salt, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 slices bacon

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 475°f cut potatoes into quarters; place in microwave-safe bowl. top with butter; cover and microwave on high 5 minutes. meanwhile, slice onion thinly.
  • 2 stir potatoes to evenly coat with butter; microwave 5 more minutes or until potatoes are hot and just beginning to soften.
  • 3 transfer potatoes to 2-quart baking dish and arrange in single layer. sprinkle with seasoned salt and pepper. arrange onion slices evenly over potatoes; top with bacon slices. bake 15-25 minutes or until potatoes are tender and bacon is browned and semi-crisp. serve. (makes 6 servings.).

Corn Dog Muffins

  • 2 (6 1/2 ounce) packages cornbread mix (i use betty crocker)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 beef hot dogs

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 400. (i now have a convection oven and i cook these at 375 in the convection oven).
  • 2 mix the cornbread mix, eggs, milk and cheese until blended.
  • 3 cut each hot dog into about 15 pieces (or as big or as little as you like).
  • 4 spary muffin tins with cooking spray.
  • 5 fill tins about 2/3 full and cook for 14-18 minutes.
  • 6 eat immediately or cool and put in fridge or freezer for later.
  • 7 if freezing let thaw and i like to heat them up in the microwave for about 30 seconds before eating.

Crazy Easy Crab Dip

  • 8 ounces cream cheese (can also use low-fat or tofu cream-cheese for a )
  • 6 ounces canned fancy lump crab (drain and reserve liquid)
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • hot pepper sauce

Recipe

  • 1 microwave cream cheese 2 min until soft. stir in crab, onions, lemon juice, 2 tbsp of crab liquid, and hot pepper sauce to taste.
  • 2 microwave until piping hot. serve warm with crackers.

Brats My Way --for A Crowd

  • 24 bratwursts
  • 2 (12 ounce) cans beer
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 jalapenos
  • 2 tablespoons liquid smoke
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 green peppers, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Recipe

  • 1 in a large aluminum pan with deep sides, pour in 2 cans of beer, liquid smoke, 1 stick butter, garlic, jalapenos, and 1 onion, choppped. set aside.
  • 2 grill brats over medium hot on all sides until browned. remove from grill and add to the large beer bath.
  • 3 meanwhile, steam one onion and 2 green peppers in 2 t butter. i use my microwave for this. if you like, you can saute them on the stove.
  • 4 cover the aluminum pan with foil and place in a large warming oven on low, or in the regular oven on low heat until ready to serve. you want them in the beer bath at least an hour.
  • 5 when serving, allow guests to pile kaiser rolls with onions, green peppers, cole slaw, spicy mustard, pickles, whatever.

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 (12 ounce) box crispix cereal
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup almonds

  • 1 preheat oven to 275°f
  • 2 spray large roasting pan with cooking spray.
  • 3 in a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl, mix butter, corn syrup and brown sugar.
  • 4 microwave on high for 2 minutes or until butter melts.
  • 5 place the cereal, pecans and almonds in a large plastic bag (or large bowl).
  • 6 pour in the melted butter mixture and shake gently until the cereal and nuts are coated.
  • 7 place mixture into prepared pan.
  • 8 baked in preheated oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • 9 let cool, stirring occasionally to prevent large clumps from forming.

Butter Tart Slice

  • 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Recipe

  • 1 cream margerine and sugar.
  • 2 blend in flour.
  • 3 put into 8x8 inch cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
  • 4 combine all remaining ingredients and place in microwave for 2 minutes.
  • 5 stir and continue for another 2 minutes.
  • 6 pour on base.
  • 7 bake at 350 degreees until set but not dry, about 10 minutes.

Black Walnut Brownies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 4 ounces baking chocolate, softened in microwave
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted with
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup black walnut, lightly toasted and chopped

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 325 degrees.
  • 2 lightly grease a loaf pan.
  • 3 in a medium mixing bowl with an electric mixer, cream the sugar, butter and chocolate.
  • 4 beat in eggs, one at a time, add vanilla.
  • 5 hand stir in flour mixture then the nuts.
  • 6 pour mixture into loaf pan.
  • 7 bake for 30- 35 minutes.
  • 8 cool on wire rack.
  • 9 cut into slices then halves.

Black-eyed Peas And Rice With Andouille Sausage

  • 1 (3 1/2 ounce) bag long-grain boil-in-the-bag rice
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup frozen chopped onions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon cajun seasoning
  • 6 ounces andouille chicken sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 (15 ounce) can black-eyed peas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup green onion, thinly sliced

Recipe

  • 1 place rice in an 8" square microwave-safe dish; cover with water. microwave on high 6 minutes; drain.
  • 2 heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  • 3 add onion, garlic, and cajun seasoning to pan, and cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently. stir in sausage and cook for 1 minute. add the rice, chicken broth, black-eyed peas, and tomatoes to pan; bring to a boil. reduce heat and simmer 4 minutes or until rice is tender. stir in hot pepper sauce.

Cinnabon Style Classic Cinnamon Roll

  • 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 3 tablespoons reduced-fat neufchatel cheese
  • 5 tablespoons light butter, softened divided
  • 1/2 tablespoon nonfat milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • butter-flavored cooking spray
  • 1 cup nonfat milk
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg
  • one packet active dry yeast (1/4 ounce)
  • 4 cups unbleached flour, plus more as needed
  • 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided (saigon cinnamon)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Recipe

  • 1 in a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, neufchatel, 3 tbsp butter, milk and vanilla extract. mix on low speed with an electric mixer fitted with beaters or stir with a spoon until combined, about 1 minute. if using a mixer, increase the speed to high.
  • 2 beat or stir vigorously until smooth, about 30 seconds. allow the frosting to set for at least 10 minutes. place in an airtight plastic container. refrigerate for up to 3 days. just before using, stir well with a spoon.
  • 3 when ready to make the buns, lightly mist a large bowl with cooking spray. set aside 1 tablespoon of the butter to soften.
  • 4 in a large microwavable measuring cup or a medium-sized microwavable bowl, combine the milk, granulated sugar and the remaining 1 tbsp butter. microwave on high power until the milk is hot (2 minutes).
  • 5 add the yogurt. whisk until the sugar dissolves (some small lumps of yogurt may be visible). add the egg and egg . whisk to beat well. add the yeast. whisk until dissolved.
  • 6 in the bowl of an electric stand mixer fitted with the dough hook or in a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of the flour, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and the salt.
  • 7 mix or stir by hand with a wooden spoon to blend. add the milk mixture. mix on medium power or stir vigorously to blend. (the mixture will be very sticky.) add the remaining flour, mixing or stirring until absorbed.
  • 8 lightly flour a work surface. turn the dough onto the work surface.
  • 9 knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. add scant amounts of flour as needed. (the dough should be soft but not sticky.) place in the reserved bowl. lightly mist with cooking spray. cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap. allow to rise until doubled in size (1 hour).
  • 10 meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the corn syrup, brown sugar, the remaining cinnamon and the vanilla extract. stir to blend well. set aside.
  • 11 when the dough has doubled in size, gently punch it down and place it on the lightly floured surface. knead for about 1 minute. dust lightly with flour. cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
  • 12 lightly mist an 11x7 inch nonstick baking dish with cooking spray. set aside. using your hands or a floured rolling pin, press or roll the dough into an 18x12 inch rectangle.
  • 13 with a butter knife, evenly spread the softened butter over the dough. drizzle on the filling. with a knife or spatula, spread it evenly to the edges. starting at one shorter side, roll the dough, jelly-roll fashion, into a tube, ending seam side down. cut into 8 equal pieces. place, spiral side up, in the reserved dish.
  • 14 cover the dish with a damp kitchen towel and place in a warm spot. let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  • 15 fifteen minutes after you have covered the dish with the towel, preheat the oven to 350 degrees f.
  • 16 bake until very lightly browned but slightly doughy in the center (22-28 minutes). with a spatula, transfer 1 roll to a plate. using a butter knife, spread 1 1/2 tablespoons of frosting over the top and 1/2 tablespoon down the sides. repeat with the other 7 rolls.
  • 17 to enjoy fresh rolls first thing in the morning, assemble the rolls the night before and then cover them loosely with plastic wrap instead of a damp towel. refrigerate overnight and the rolls will rise while you sleep so you can bake as soon as the oven is warm.
  • 18 consider making a batch or two and freezing them after baking and cooling. freeze the frosting separately. pack in an airtight plastic container. when you crave one, wrap it in aluminum foil and bake it in a preheated 250 degree f oven until it is warmed through (20-25 minutes).

Banana Split Brownie Pie

  • 1 2/3 cups chocolate ice cream
  • 1 2/3 cups strawberry ice cream
  • 2 medium bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 3/4 cup chocolate fudge topping
  • 3/4 strawberry ice cream topping
  • 1/2 cup toffee pieces or 1/2 cup almond brickle chips
  • whipping cream
  • sliced almonds

Recipe

  • 1 in a microwave melt chocolate and butter, stir until smooth. cool.
  • 2 in a small mixing bowl, beat the eggs, sugara, vanilla and acooled chocolatel mixture.
  • 3 add flour, mix well.
  • 4 spread into a greased 9-inch springform pan bade at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or or until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
  • 5 cool on a wire rack. cover and freeze until firm.
  • 6 using 1/3 cup for each scoop, place four scoops of vanilla ice cream, five scoops each of chocolate and strawberry ice creams on a wax paper-lined baking sheet. freeze until firm.

  • 8 alternate scoops of chocolate and strawberry ice cream around the edge.
  • 9 cover and freeze until firm.
  • 10 just before serving, remove sides of pan.
  • 11 arrange bananas and strawberries over ice cream.
  • 12 drizzle with hot fudge and strawberry toppings.
  • 13 sprinkle with toffee bits.
  • 14 garnish with whipped cream and almonds.

Continental Cheesecake (easy Microwave Fix)

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces butter
  • 2 ounces sugar
  • 3 tablespoons clear honey
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 2 (8 ounce) cartons cream cheese
  • 1/2 lemon, juice and zest of (grated rind & juice of, may use lime)
  • 5 ounces sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ounces sultanas (finely chopped)
  • 2 ounces butter
  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup
  • 4 ounces ginger snaps (crisp variety, crushed)
  • 5 ounces double cream (whipped, see note)
  • fruit, of choice (sliced or whole, see note)

Recipe

  • 1 for cheesecake: line base & sides of a 1 1/2 qt microwave loaf dish w/oiled greaseproof paper.
  • 2 beat butter, sugar & honey. gradually add beaten eggs. beat in cheese, lemon rind & juice (or lime if using), sour cream, cornstarch & vanilla extract. mix till smooth & fold in the chopped sultanas.
  • 3 spoon mixture into prepared dish, cover w/greaseproof paper & cook on defrost for 20 minutes. remove cover.
  • 4 for base: place butter & syrup in a bowl & microwave on high for 1 minute. stir in the crushed cookie crumbs. spoon cookie mixture on top of cheesecake & press down slightly. allow to fully cool & then refrigerate till needed.
  • 5 to serve: carefully invert the cheesecake onto a chilled serving plate & remove the greaseproof paper. decorate w/whipped cream + fruit per note below, slice thinly & serve immediately.
  • 6 note: the pic showed sliced fruit layered in rows on both sides of the cheesecake & a row of whipped cream in the centre. use alternating slices of strawberries & kiwi for a x-mas theme, strawberries for a valentine theme, kiwi for a st. pat’s day theme or rows of strawberries, bananas & blueberries for a 4th of july theme. i will likely use a canned spray cream right b4 serving for its ease & do without the need to use & whip the double cream. i admit i'm lazy, but i also don't think this needs the added richness, calories & fat of double cream :-).

Cinnamon Apple Raisin Bread Pudding

  • 1/2 cup dried apple, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons calvados (apple brandy)
  • 3 1/2 cups reduced-fat milk

  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon grated nutmeg

  • 5 cups cubed cinnamon-swirl bread (about 12 oz)

  • 1 preheat oven to 325.
  • 2 combine raisins, dried apples and apple brandy in a microwave safe bowl. microwave at high for 1 minute; cool. combine milk, 3/4 cup sugar, lemon rind, melted butter, 1/2 tsp salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and eggs in a large bowl, stirring well with a whisk. stir in bread cubes and raisin mixture. let stand at room temperature 15 minutes.

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Recipe

  • 1 microwave butter for 30 seconds.
  • 2 stir in flour and microwave for 1 minute.
  • 3 gradually stir in milk and spices.
  • 4 microwave on high for 3 min or until thick.
  • 5 stirring every minute.
  • 6 stir in cheeses.

Cinnabon Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, soft
  • 1/2 cup butter flavor crisco
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

  • 3 cups self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 oven 375°.
  • 2 cream together; the first 4 ingredients.
  • 3 beat in the eggs.
  • 4 add the vanilla, cinnamon, and the flour.
  • 5 cover the dough and place in the fridge to chill for 1 hour.
  • 6 combine the filling ingredients and place in the microwave.
  • 7 heat until butter melts.
  • 8 mix thoroughly.
  • 9 divide the dough into two equal portions.
  • 10 roll each out into a 12 x 6-inch rectangle.
  • 11 spread half of the filling onto each rectangle.
  • 12 roll each lengthwise into a log.

Caramel Pecan Cups

  • 4 ounces semisweet chocolate or 4 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 (9 1/2 ounce) package pepperidge farmâ® puff pastry cups, prepared according to package directions
  • 2 tablespoons caramel topping
  • 2 tablespoons chopped toasted pecans

Recipe

  • 1 stir the chocolate and heavy cream in a microwavable bowl. microwave on high for 1 minute or until the chocolate is melted. stir until the chocolate mixture is smooth.
  • 2 place 1 teaspoon chocolate mixture into each pastry cup. drizzle with the caramel topping and sprinkle with the pecans.

Corn Flake Crunchies

Ingredients

  • 4 cups corn flakes
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

Recipe

  • 1 place corn flakes and marshmallows in a large bowl. melt chocolate chips in a double boiler or in a microwave. do not overheat or you will cause the chocolate to "break" (separate). pour into the bowl and stir until everything is evenly coated. scoop out individual portions with 2 teaspoons or a small ice cream scoop. place on wax paper-lined cookie sheet and refridgerate until set, 5-10 minutes. store in covered container.

Banana Something Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 ready to bake pie crusts
  • 3 very ripe bananas, smashed
  • 1 cup sweetened coconut
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 2 (14 ounce) bags caramels, unwrapped
  • 1 tablespoon rum or 2 teaspoons rum extract
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup toffee pieces
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • 1/4 cup pecans

Recipe

  • 1 prepare your pie crust according to directions for one crust pie bake until golden brown, cool.
  • 2 melt the caramels in microwave with rum and whipping cream only takes a minute or so.
  • 3 mix bananas, coconut, condensed milk and cream cheese, refrigerate.
  • 4 mix toffee bits walnuts and pecans.
  • 5 sprinkle onto cooled pie crust pour the caramel sauce over the nut mixture, let cool for about 20 minutes.
  • 6 pour the cream cheese banana mixture over the caramel sauce until the pie crust is filled.
  • 7 freeze until set.
  • 8 you will have plenty of cream cheese mixture left over you can refrigerate or freeze until youre ready to make more pies.
