Black Walnut Brownies

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 4 ounces baking chocolate, softened in microwave
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted with
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup black walnut, lightly toasted and chopped

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 325 degrees.
  • 2 lightly grease a loaf pan.
  • 3 in a medium mixing bowl with an electric mixer, cream the sugar, butter and chocolate.
  • 4 beat in eggs, one at a time, add vanilla.
  • 5 hand stir in flour mixture then the nuts.
  • 6 pour mixture into loaf pan.
  • 7 bake for 30- 35 minutes.
  • 8 cool on wire rack.
  • 9 cut into slices then halves.
